Hello Anywhere offers 6 types of satellite phone rental solutions
ranging from as little as $290/month for a handheld to as much as
$1500 for a laptop solution. With our handheld units, for some of
our satellite phones we have available external antennas, data
cables & pelican cases. In a handheld format, we offer the
IRIDIUM (worldwide coverage) or the GLOBALSTAR and/or the
THURAYA (both have coverage limitations) satellite phone
solutions, but their email, internet access & data transmission
speed is extremely slow at 2.4 kbps. However, if transmission speed
is important, try INMARSAT MINI-M, M4/GAN or a BGAN
laptop satellite phone with speeds of up to 492 kbps. If

Iridium
Satellite Phone Rental Packages
The
Iridium 9500 handheld unit is ideal as a global
communication device, which does not have any coverage
limitations as some of the other satellite networks. It
weights only 454 grams/16 ounces and we supply it with 2
batteries, AC charger with universal adaptors, cigarette
lighter adaptor & a remote mobile antenna. Our minimum
1-week rental is $79.95 with additional weeks at $70 or additional days at $14.95. Airtime charges
start at $2.99/minute, but are lowered based on volume &
rental period. All incoming calls are free, but person
calling Iridium handset will be charged as if calling
internationally. Unit can also receive SMS text messages
(limited to 160 characters), voice mail can be added & data
cables are available on a rental basis.
Upgrade option of $50.00 to more compact 9505A model (375
grams/13.2 ounces). |

Globalstar
Satellite Phone Rental Packages
The
Globalstar satellite phone is a great North American
solution, but they do have limited coverage issues. They will also work
in South America, Europe, Middle East, Southern Africa, East
Asia & Oceania, but coverage has to be verified. The Globalstar GSP-1600 offers excellent
voice quality & is available on a rental basis with the same
options as the Iridium phone. Again, SMS is available,
voice mail & data cables are optional. |

Thuraya Satellite Phone Rental
Packages
If
looking for the smallest satellite handset & traveling
within Europe, the Middle East, Africa you may want to
consider the THURAYA Hughes 7101 handset. We do have limited
supplies and require more time to prepare such satellite
phone rental solutions. Weekly rate is $149.95 with
additional weeks at $125, no daily rate & airtime rates
starting at $2.99/minute. |

Inmarsat
Mini-M, M4/GAN &
BGAN Satellite Phone Rental Packages
The Inmarsat Mini-M, & M4/GAN & new BGAN satellite phone
systems offer cost-effective and reliable voice, fax, and
data services from virtually anywhere in the world. These
transportable terminals are about the size of a notebook
computer and can weigh anywhere from 1 kg. to 5 kg.
including internal batteries. A Mini-M unit may be rented
for as little as $449.95/month with airtime charges to Zone
1 starting at $3.49/minute, but speed is only 2.4 to 4.8
kbps. However, if transmission speed is critical you can
upgrade to renting a M4 unit for $1499.95/month at 56-64
kbps. If you require even quicker speed (144 kbps), rent a
Regional BGAN unit for a minimum period of 12 months at a
monthly rate of $249.95/month. Voice airtime charges may be
as low as $1.25/minute, while data transfer depending on
chosen plan can range from as low as $4.49/MB to as high as
$8.49/MB. |
